This was a project that at first glance needed a lot of love. To the untrained eye, this could have seemed like an expensive overhaul. I was able to work alongside my client and figure out creative ways to make this home shine. After a few walk throughs, I pin pointed the most important aspects to improve and prioritized what needed to be done. After some key improvements, we turned this home into a feeling of country Provence living.
One of my favorite aspects of being a listing agent is transforming my client's home into its utmost potential. I love finding creative and cost-effective ways to bring the rooms to life. This project had its share of challenges, but the bones were there. I was able to negotiate with vendors and find creative design solutions to bring out the best this home had to offer in a way that ultimately led to my clients not only making their investment back, but profiting over the asking price in just 5 days.
This outdoor patio was in need of a lift. I worked with my team to clear out the old out dated pieces, freshly repair and re-paint the storage, trellis, and flooring, re-landscape the outdoor plants, and created a custom cream cushion to fit the storage bench and provide as a gift to the new owners. This makeover turned an “outdoor eyesore” into an indoor/outdoor “centerpiece gem” of the home!
For the kitchen transformation of 621 S. Barrington Ave, I didn't want my clients to have to spend too much money on a complete renovation (It's important to take into consideration how much to spend in relation to the ROI based on the current market value). So, I researched affordable new stainless steel appliances (replaced all but the oven which was in great shape). I then had the cabinets and walls painted white and had a glazer do white glazing over the tile counters and inside the sink.
Renovation before and after of the primary bedroom.
This residence underwent a complete top-to-bottom design renovation, transforming a never-updated 1980s top-floor 2-bedroom, 2-bath plus den into a refined, modern home. With treetop pool views, high ceilings, a fireplace, and walls of windows and sliding glass doors, the original architecture provided exceptional bones for a thoughtful reimagining.
Carpet was replaced with luxury wide-plank European oak engineered flooring, complemented by neutral tile throughout the balcony, kitchen, and baths. The kitchen was fully redesigned with custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, and all-new stainless-steel appliances. The primary bath was reconfigured by removing the original sunken tub to create space for a floating soaking tub and a custom navy double vanity inspired by Azul Calcutta quartz. The second bath was fully modernized with a new vanity, updated tile, and a sleek half-glass shower enclosure, and the den was converted into a full 3rd bedroom, by creating a wall with a pocket door, completing the home’s elevated, contemporary transformation.
